Greetings and Salutations

Greetings and Salutations! My name is Mandy Q and welcome to my Madhouse. I started Mandy Q’s Madhouse Creations almost two years ago. I unexpectedly found myself as a single Mom with kids actively involved in baseball, softball, band, orchestra and Young Marines and needed a way to make a little extra money to keep my “Madhouse” going. I was able to take my love of experimenting in my kitchen and use it as a way to help support my kids and I.

I’m not even sure what I should be writing-so let’s start with a little about me; I am a Mommy to a large blended family-thus the name “Madhouse”…I have a “yours, mine and theirs” home. Some people don’t understand that-and that’s ok-my kids will always be my kids-whether I gave birth to them or not does not matter. Family is family. My spouse in my Partner In Crime-he supports my psychotic ideas and helps to keep our Madhouse functioning on a somewhat normal schedule. He’s a morning person and I’m a night owl. I work nights in our local Intensive Care Unit as a telemetry tech. I love my night job and the doc’s I work with. I am sarcastic. I am blunt. I am known for my crazy curly hair that is usually filled with numerous pens and pencils. I love caffeine, ramen noodles, bacon and chevelas. You can find me in my kitchen late at night filling orders and bumping oldies, Lil Rob, Tupac, George Strait and a lil Mozart.

I am also a Survivor of Domestic Violence.  I speak and advocate any chance I get. I firmly believe that every chance you tell your story-you never know who may be listening and who you may inspire to seek help. There is always a way out. I am actively involved with The Healing Journey here in Yuma, Arizona, a non-profit agency which has peer support groups for women as well as teen girls and boys.

Thank you for taking a moment to stop by…I plan on sharing a little about everything in my crazy life. There is always something going on…Mommy adventures, new recipies , foodie experiements that have gone way wrong and some that have gone right…
